DISCOVERY CHANNEL has given the PMW-EX1 & PMW-EX3 “SILVER” Status

It’s been a long wait, but officially the ‘Discovery Channel’ in the US & CANADA has given the XDCAM EX SONY PMW-EX1 the all important ‘Silver Status’.

This is the FIRST compact camcorder to be awarded this status meaning you can shoot 100%
of your program production with EX for supply to the HD channel.

It’s a true indication of just how good this camera is! We are still waiting written notification, but I think you’ll all agree this is great news! Obviously with EX3 with the same spec, this too will also meet this ‘Silver Status’
